Operating instructions

Task: Establish the Krasnoje – Smolensk – Minsk – Wünsdorf link. All four circuits must be set correctly.

Settings: Solve the calculation at the bottom of each circuit. Always divide the result by 4. The remainder tells you which coloured button to press. Then set the toggle switch: odd remainder = up; even remainder = down.

Example: 8 + 7 = 15. Dividing 15 by 4 gives 3 with a remainder of 3 (15 − 12 = 3). Press button 3. Since 3 is odd, move the toggle up. A correct setting lights the green lamp.

Energy: The meter starts at 12. Every button press and toggle movement costs one energy point. Calculate first, then switch!

Check the link: Set all four circuits. When all four lamps are green, turn “Check connection” to establish the link to the Zeppelin communications centre in Wünsdorf.
