Hans Peter Koehler (1921–2008)

Hans Peter Koehler wrote his diary during the campaign in Russia, from 1941 to 1945. In the late 1970s, he typed up his notes and added photographs and recollections.

Many of the photographs were taken with his Box Tengor camera, which accompanied him for a long time.

Daniel Koehler

After his grandfather's death, Daniel Koehler digitised the typescript, restored the photographs and published the diary as a book. The historical German spelling was deliberately retained.
